The First Show was in Seattle

11/02 As soon as we got the venue, Neumo's, there was an anti-war parade on the street, Pike. I felt I was in different state. I was little nervous when I got on the stage. We had a train wreck on the second song, "Bloodening", at the moment, the nervousness was released. I started rocking but the audience wasn't... after Altamont stopped playing, I stayed on the stage for making some noise by one of my circuit bending keyboard. I saw one guy keep pointing on me and shouting "you are the man!" From my view, only the guy got it in Seattle...

Back to LA

I'm back in LA. We played in Sacrament last night and went to a hotel in San Francisco. And We drove from SF to LA about 6 hours today. Altamont at the WestBeach Recorders http://www.westbeachrecorders.com/. The console is Trident 80B. The studio has a nice room for drums and few isolated rooms. I'm happy with the sound I got on the CD, "Monkees' Uncle". Track 7, 8, 9, and 11 were tracked at the studio. We recorded with Studer A827 tape machine. I love that! Analog tapes never die! I hope...

The Electric Uku!

I just got an electric/acoustic ukulele by Oscar Schmidt. Because of its wood, it sounds like a small acoustic guitar. I wish it was made from Koa. But it's O.K.. I have a regular uku anyway. I can use this one on stage with a guitar amp. It will be louder than Les Paul.

Who is the Monkees' Uncle?

I have no idea who the guy is. Is he famous? I doubt it. Anyway, I got some info for dates of the tour with Jello/Melvins. It starts at Seattle on Nov. 2nd. LA shows will be on Nov. 16th at Henry Fonda Theater.

Altamont Is Ready for the Shows!

I just joined in a band, called Altamont. We just finished making new album which will be released on Nov. 1st. 　Also Jello Biafra with the Melvins will realease their 2nd album, "Sieg Howdy!" I mixed most of songs from the album and I and Dale Crover (behind the keyboard in the picture) from the Melvins made a production unit called Deaf nephews and remixed a song for the album. Room with instruments

Hello! people on earth!
This is my living room with musical instruments.
From left bottom, there are three keyboards. They are my circuit bendings, called Space Kawasaki, Yamaha Silver Head, and the Big Blue. Right next to the Big Blue, there is a small box. That is my hand made guitar effect, T-Fuzz. I've used those a lot for recordings.
